Arriving on the scene as Leica's compact, high-functioning all-day standard zoom lens; this lens exhibits the very same premium, professional build-quality that's expected from Leica photographic equipment. This lens features a wide, bright and fast constant f2.8 aperture that allows for enhanced low-light performance but also offers expressive control of depth of field and subject-background separation. Adding to its versatility and flexibility, the lens has a minimum focusing distance of just 18cm, which means you can experiment with close-up shooting as well as portraiture, landscape and street photography. The lens also features a complex and intricate lens structure, of which its premium glass elements effectively control chromatic aberrations and other distortions throughout the zoom range.
